Classical guitar lessons

I offer guitar lessons in my Mount Vernon home near 10th and Warren. We will work on efficient guitar technique, tone production, reading and understanding music, developing effective study strategies and artistic interpretation. I will teach you to play in the classical style, which gives a solid foundation in musicianship that can be applied to any other style of music.

For classical guitar lessons, you will need a metronome, a footstool, a music-paper notebook, and preferably a classical (nylon string) guitar. If you do not already have a classical guitar I can help you choose one because it is important to have an instrument that plays well and will not be outgrown too quickly by the learner.
